Thursday, October 5 at 7:30pm
Carnegie Hill Chamber Series @ Church of the Advent Hope (111 E. 87th Street)
In this EXO:Chamber series, EXO expands on their popularLoft Party and Lincoln Center Listening Concerts, as Music Director James Blachly hosts and guides a concert with (optional!) audience interaction and creates an environment of shared discovery, with EXO's extraordinary musicians providing all of the magic of exquisite chamber music, plus offering their unique perspectives and ideas.
This concert will be a celebration of how we listen – and a night to discover how other people listen. An intimate performance of chamber music where the musicians will share their own unique perspectives on the music, and where the audience is invited to explore the concert experience in wonderful new ways.
Program: Brahms Sextet No. 1 in Bb Major, Opus 18
Featuring Lady Jess and Pauline Kim Harris (violin); Edwin Kaplan and Ramón Carrero Martínez (viola); Michael Katz and Sujin Lee (cello), hosted by EXO Music Director James Blachly.
This project is made possible in part with funds from Creative Engagement, a regrant program supported by the NewYork City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) in partnership with the CityCouncil, and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by LMCC.
